Exchange monitored

FARMERS marketing hoggets in the next few months will be monitoring the exchange rate.

A weak pound may not be good for the economy as a whole, but for the lamb trade it may create a much needed improvement in price, according to Stephen Kirkup who owns a livestock procurement business.

A weaker pound may encourage much needed increased demand for British lamb in Europe.
