Search for top dog
Last updated at 09:42, Wednesday, 11 September 2013
WE’RE looking for the district’s top dog in our annual Pet Parade – one of the Hexham Courant’s most popular competitions.
Over the next few weekends we’ll be hosting photographic sessions where owners can have their pets’ picture taken by one of our professional photographers.
Those pictures will then appear in the Courant and readers can vote – by text or post – for Tynedale’s top dog.
Sessions will be held in the Bandstand in Hexham’s Abbey Grounds on Sunday, September 15 (10am-1.30pm) and at Haltwhistle Methodist Church Hall on Saturday, September 21 (2pm -4pm).
A fee is payable which includes a 12 x 8 print; please see adverts for more information.

A workman was buried alive while digging a drain in the Prudhoe Urban Council's housing estate at Oaklands.
Workmates rushed to the aid of 50-year-old Richard Barclay, of Stocksfield, when the wall of the trench he was digging collapsed.
They managed to dig his head and shoulders free before finally pulling him from the earth. He was found to be suffering from shock and bruising.
