Saddle fitter supports dressage

A HEXHAM saddle fitter is to sponsor the British Dressage Northern Region for the third successive year.

Kate Jackson, the Sue Carson Saddles Distributor for the North, is a strong supporter of the regional branch of the BD which supports all levels of dressage.

A highly-trained and experienced saddle fitter, Kate works with riders from across a wide area and is well-known at regional dressage fixtures, where she hosts saddle demonstrations as well as offering advice to riders on the suitability and fit of their saddles.

She said: “I feel that working with British Dressage in the region is a mutually beneficial relationship, because the objectives they have go hand in hand with what we are trying to achieve, which is horses going correctly and happily, with correctly-fitting saddles manufactured using the best quality materials and workmanship.”

In addition to her schedule of shows, Kate does yard visits to check and fit saddles for horse owners and hosts demonstrations at clubs on the varied work of a saddle fitter.
