Crosfields 4 Linotype/Cheadle 3.
A DRAMATIC last-minute winner from top scorer Lee Boardman kept Crosfields at the top of Cheshire Soccer League Division One.
Crosfields were cruising at 3-1 with five minutes to go until Linotype were given a lifeline when a penalty was awarded for a trip in the box.
Goalkeeper Warburton saved the spot kick but not the rebound and suddenly the Altrincham side sniffed a share of the spoils.
With a minute remaining poor defending from the Crosfields backline allowed the Linotype forward a free header to level the game.
Shell-shocked Crosfields frantically went in search of a fourth goal and with the final action of a pulsating match Boardman ran 20 yards at the Linotype defence before dispatching a chip from 20 yards that gave the Linotype keeper no chance.
It was a goal that was worthy of winning any game.
Crosfields, who travel to Barnton on Saturday, kick off 2.15pm, went 1-0 down but goals from Neal Holden, Stuart Welstead and Boardman had put the Hood Lane men in command.
