TYNEDALE welcomed some famous faces last week as film crews rolled in to record an ITV documentary.
Nicky Campbell and Davina McCall were in the district to film popular TV series Long Lost Family, with the resulting show due to be broadcast later this year.
Well-known for presenting Watchdog and The Wheel of Fortune, Nicky Campbell headed to the Hexham Courant offices in Beaumont Street to carry out research using the paper’s records.
Meanwhile, former Big Brother presenter Davina McCall paid a visit to French’s Food and Gifts, in Main Road, Wylam, on St Valentine’s Day.
Co-owner Ellis French said: “Davina was lovely and commented on how romantic it was when my mum, Clare, received a big bunch of flowers for Valentine’s Day.”

THREE watercolour paintings donated by Queen Mary were auctioned off to raise money for a new Darby and Joan club in Hexham.
A site had already been bought, but a further £6,000 was needed to run the club for the elderly.
The auction, opened by Viscountess Allendale, saw the paintings raise over £8 for the fund.
