News in brief

A SONG written and recorded by a teenage Tynedale musician has gone on sale to raise money for a young cancer sufferer.

Humshaugh’s Amy Ridley (15) is hoping Realise (Song for Kian) will be a big hit after being made available on internet music site, iTunes.

All money raised from the single will go to the Caring for Kian appeal, in support of Tyneside youngster Kian Musgrove, who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in October.

The single can be bought on iTunes, while the Caring for Kian appeal has a Facebook page.
