EMERGENCY services were called to Station Road, near Allendale, at 11pm on Monday, after a car collided with a parked van.
The elderly female driver of the car was treated for shock by paramedics at the scene.
The road was blocked until 12.40am.
On Wednesday night a Toyota and a Volvo crashed on the B6295 near Round Meadows, Catton.
A woman in her 20s had to be cut free from the Toyota by fire crews from Hexham and Allendale and was taken to Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary with suspected spinal injuries.
Two women and three children from the Volvo were also taken to hospital for precautionary checks.
Traffic was diverted on to the A686 until the road re-opened at 7.10pm.
A FORMER Hexham school teacher appeared at Newcastle Crown Court this week, charged with indecently assaulting former pupils.
Joseph Kinnear (59), of East Newtown Cottages, Rothbury, denies 14 charges of indecent assault relating to schoolgirls aged between 11 and 14 .
The offences are alleged to have taken place while Kinnear was working at schools in Hexham and Rothbury between 1975 and 1982.
The trial continues.

HAVING raised over £1,000 through prize draws, dances, whist drives and donations, Bellingham was able to buy its town hall.
So successful was the fund-raising that when all the debts were cleared more than £100 was left in the fund.
The hall could now be used by the town for all manner of social and public functions.
