A ROW of cars parked on a quiet Hexham street have been vandalised.

Overnight on Saturday, the wing mirror on a Citroen parked on Westbourne Grove was smashed off and at the same time a number of cars had their wing mirrors folded back.

Just two nights later, a Land Rover parked in the same street had two tyres punctured.

VANDALS smashed a window at Hexham’s Queen Elizabeth High School overnight on Saturday.

The window was at the back of the building, near the sports pitches.

Witnesses reported seeing a group of youths in the area of Allendale Road on Saturday evening and anyone with information is being asked to contact the police on 101 ext 69191.

WARK Parish Council has set its 2013 precept at £9,500.

Councillors were pleased to report that this was the second year the amount had remained unchanged.
