THE occupant of a house in Heddon disturbed a would-be burglar at around 2.40am on Tuesday.A MAN was airlifted to hospital on Tuesday after falling from a horse near Ponteland.THE Queen’s Hall Theatre Club’s AGM has been postponed from its advertised date to Tuesday, February 5, at 7.30pm.A PUBLIC seat will be provided by Haltwhistle Town Council at Park Road.
The burglar tried to break in through the wooden garage doors of the house on Antonine Walk.
The rider, in his 70s, was treated by the Great North Air Ambulance crew in Black Heddon at around 10.45am before being flown to Newcastle’s RVI with injuries to his leg, pelvis and chest.

Work was due to start on the houses at the end of August, but Prudhoe Urban Council decided to sanction the test drilling after fears the properties' foundations would need reinforcing because of subsidence.
