Newbrough village notes

FOURSTONES with Warden Methodist church welcomed friends from Simonside Methodist church, Newcastle last Sunday.

Afternoon tea followed by worship was enjoyed together.

NEWBROUGH Hall and Newbrough Lodge gardens were open at the weekend in aid of the British Red Cross and, judging by the amount of cars in the car parks, the event was well-attended.

Thanks again to both families for allowing everyone to wander around their properties.

AEROPLANE spotters may have been surprised to see a Lancaster bomber flying overhead on Sunday afternoon.

We think it may have been involved in a display in Scotland in celebration of Armed Forces Day.
