Newbrough village notes

NEWBROUGH Rainbow Tiny Tots are organising their yearly trip to South Shields on Wednesday, August 13.

A bus picks up from The Red Lion and Fourstones. If anyone is interested, contact Rebecca Sutton on 07845 370557.

They also organise a group held at Newbrough First School called musical bumps every Thursday from 10.30am until 11am.

There is a charge for sessions, which are for children aged from birth to three years. Either contact Sally Charlton on (01434) 674815 or just turn up at the school.

WELL done to the seven women who did the Three Peaks challenge on Saturday in aid of Cancer Research.

The ladies participating were Alison Baker, Michelle Bridges, Tiffany Hodkinson, Francine Jukes, Sarah Myers, Katherine Robbie and Catherine Whaley.

I know they did the challenge with enthusiasm and in the hope they would raise some much needed funds for a charity that is close to many people’s hearts.

Congratulations everyone, you should all be very proud of yourselves.

OUR sympathies go to the families of Pearson Cleminson and Pam Johnston during this very sad time.
