Haydon Bridge news

HAYDON Bridge Football Club proudly presents Razor Sharp at the Haydonian Working Men’s Club on Saturday, March 6, from 7.30pm.

Tickets are available from Davy Edwards on (01434) 684067 or Paula Collis on (01434) 684007.

THE coffee morning at the community centre will be hosted by the women’s institute on Saturday morning from 10am. All welcome.

IT IS Women’s World Day of Prayer today and to help celebrate, Pat Devlin will talk about her journey from Benwell to Bethlehem via Brazil at St John of Beverley Roman Catholic Church from 2pm.

Refreshments will be served; all welcome.

NEXT Friday, March 12, the Working Men’s Club will host a karaoke competition for over 18s only.

So if you are a solo artist, a duo, or a group, get practising!

ST Patrick’s Day is fast approaching and Sue at the Railway will be celebrating with music, games, prizes and supper on Wednesday, March 17.

THERE will be no morning service on Sunday at the Methodist Church as everyone is invited to the Trinity Church, Hexham, at 10.30am, for a special united circuit service.

A free bus will leave the community centre at 9.50am, returning from Hexham at 11.50am.

Evening service will take place as usual from 6pm.

Please note that due to the above service there will be no Sunday School this weekend.

ON Saturday, March 13, the Mothers’ Union will be host a bring and buy sale at its coffee morning from 10am until noon.

Following the success of last year’s event, members hope to raise funds for mothers in third world countries, to pay for teaching materials, birthing packs and bicycles.

Money will also be used to train birthing attendants, as well as supplying seeds and goats.

Please go along to the coffee morning to show your support for this very worthwhile cause.
