Black cat seen in woodland

TYNEDALE’S mysterious black cat has been spotted for the first time this year.

Former Haltwhistle cricket player Darren Milburn was walking his dog Millie in woodland between the town and Featherstone last Saturday morning when the creature appeared.

He said: “I heard a noise and when I turned around I saw what appeared to be a black cat. It was about knee height and looked big for a household cat.”
