Prudhoe: Beauty business blossoms for Tracy

A PRUDHOE beautician and holistic therapist has launched her business on a full-time basis following huge demand from clients.
Tracy Sivell (pictured) who has a background in fashion and photographic make-up, was working as a lecturer while running Body Therapy in the Attic, on Front Street, one day a week, along with every other Saturday.
Gaining back-to-back appointments, however, she decided to take on a second room and grow the business to the point were she is now working four days a week - or more, if clients require it.
Among the services she offers are beauty treatments, therapeutic Swedish massage, trigger point massage and aromatherapy massage, using oil blends she creates herself to combat specific ailments.
Tracy also runs pamper days, does make-up for special occasions and holds make-up classes.
“Building up the business has brought a sense of achievement and I enjoy it because I’ve got some lovely clients I look forward to seeing,” she said.

A workman was buried alive while digging a drain in the Prudhoe Urban Council's housing estate at Oaklands.
Workmates rushed to the aid of 50-year-old Richard Barclay, of Stocksfield, when the wall of the trench he was digging collapsed.
They managed to dig his head and shoulders free before finally pulling him from the earth. He was found to be suffering from shock and bruising.
