Wallington look for league form

AFTER the highs of securing the Challenge Cup midweek, Wallington look to recapture their early season form in the league tomorrow.

A fantastic 3-1 victory over Northern Alliance leaders Walker Central saw the Greens end a rotten run of four defeats on the bounce, and they will be buoyed by their excellent performance going into their remaining league programme.

Tomorrow, they host a Hebburn Reyrolle team staring down the barrel of the gun as relegation favourites.

Meanwhile, Stocksfield look to get back to winning ways after their 4-0 defeat in midweek and have a trip to second bottom Percy Main Amateurs, a team they beat 5-0 recently, to look forward to.

Heddon's slim hopes of beating the drop from Division One see them host an in-form North Shields Athletic side, while Hexham have a similarly tough task on their hands as they travel to third placed Newcastle Chemfica (Independent).

Ponteland United look to iron out their inconsistencies and play host to eighth placed Gosforth Bohemians.

Prudhoe Town visit Silksworth Colliery Welfare in the Wearside League, while Ryton and Crawcrook Albion are at Seaham Red Star in Division Two of the Northern League.

Tynedale Ladies need a win against North East Women's Football League leaders Lowick United Ladies on Sunday if they stand any chance of claiming  the title.
