Tynedale head to relegation threatened Consett

AFTER the rain denied them of victory last weekend, Tynedale are praying for no disruptions when they travel to Consett on Saturday.
Their form has picked up against the teams towards the foot of the table, and they will be confident of it continuing if their game with second bottom Consett goes ahead.
Next up for Tynedale II in their push for promotion is a home fixture with Chopwell’s second string.
After slipping to fourth in the table, Ponteland hope to climb a few places when they travel to basement club Lintz. Table topping Ponteland II, meanwhile, host Lintz II.
With promotion to the Premier Division of the Northumberland Cricket League already in the bag, the title is their next target. They will continue to push on with this weekend’s trip to the seaside to take on Tynemouth.
Stocksfield are aiming at a return to winning ways when they host second bottom Blue Flames in the Premier Division, and Kirkley head to Bedlington.

A workman was buried alive while digging a drain in the Prudhoe Urban Council's housing estate at Oaklands.
Workmates rushed to the aid of 50-year-old Richard Barclay, of Stocksfield, when the wall of the trench he was digging collapsed.
They managed to dig his head and shoulders free before finally pulling him from the earth. He was found to be suffering from shock and bruising.
