Three on the bounce for Stocksfield

A RUN of three consecutive victories shot Stocksfield up to eighth spot in the Northern Alliance Premier Division.

After triumphing over two teams threatened with relegation, their winning momentum carried over as they picked up a great 3-2 success at sixth placed Killingworth Station.

Their run conincides with Wallington's string of three games without victory, their naow 1-0 loss to Northbank Carlisle seeing them slip to fifth in the table.

Heddon's slight hopes of beating the drop in Division One were dealt a blow as they were beaten 6-2 at home to Cullercoats.

Prudhoe Town bounced back from two cup defeats to go 12th in the Wearside League, their 1-0 win over Wolviston lifting them three places in the table.

Ryton and Crawcrook Albion's good form of late came to an end when they were beaten 4-0 by promotion chasing Jarrow Roofing.

Tynedale Ladies kept up their title charge in the North East Women's Football League with a slender 3-2 win at Kader, but they were not helped out as Prudhoe Town Women lost 6-1 at home to leaders Lowick United Ladies.
