Take two for Tynedale and Ponteland

AFTER their openers were washed out, both Tynedale and Ponteland hope to get their Northumberland and Tyneside Senior Cricket League campaigns off to a delayed start on Saturday.


Tynedale's new boys Akash Fotedar (pictured with former Tyne player Stephen Storey of Dow Storey car dealers which is sponsoring the Aussie pro), Callum Barnes, Dan Owen and Tim Raglan are praying for some action when the club host Burnopfield at the weekend.

Their second team's return to Division B1 will see them make the visit to Backworth as they look for better fortunes than last week's rain off.

Meanwhile, Ponteland are looking forward to getting their season under way but face a tough test as they welcome Shotley Bridge to the town's leisure centre.

In a straight reverse, Ponteland II visit Shotley Bridge II.
