HAVING captured the Monkwearmouth Charity Cup last term, Prudhoe Town start their defence of the trophy tomorrow with a home game with Stockton Town.
The visitors to Kimberly Park are flying with an 100 per cent record from their opening 10 games, while Town find themselves down in 16th with seven points from nine. The game kicks off at 2pm.
Stockton came out on top when the two teams met at Teesside on the opening day of the season, but Prudhoe gave them a real scare before eventually going down 3-2.
IThe rest of the district's Saturday teams are in cup action too, with only Stocksfield in Northern Alliance league action as they travel to Carlisle City in the Premier Division.
Wallington travel to Wallsend Town in Bay Plastics Challenge Cup, while Hexham face a trip to Alliance Division One leaders Newcastle Chemfica (Independent) in the Combination Cup.
Heddon host Gosforth Bohemaians in the same competition, while Ponteland United have a long trip to Wooler as they look to book their place in the second round.
Ryton and Crawcrook Albion's Northern League Division Two adventure takes them to Whickham.
