Prudhoe and Hexham try again

PRUDHOE Town and Hexham will try again at the weekend as their mission to make their respective county cup semi-finals remains.

After last week's postponements, Prudhoe are hoping their rescheduled tie with Northern Alliance side Shankhose in the final four of the Northumberland FA Senior Benevolent Bowl beats the weather.

Likewise, Hexham are down to host AFC Newbiggin in the semis of the Northumberland FA Minor Cup as they aim for a second successive final appearance.

Over in the Northern Alliance, Wallington's title pursuit offers up the long trip to Carlisle City while Stocksfield make the trip to Seaton Delaval Amateurs.

Relegation threatened Heddon travel to New Fordley in Division One, while Ponteland United are at Bedlington Terriers Reserves in a cruch game towards the foot of the table.

Chopwell visit Seaton Burn in Division One, while Ryton and Crawcrook Albion are away to Chester-le-Street Town in the Northern League.

North East Women's Football League title favourties Tynedale Ladies hope to keep up their impressive form with a visit to Kader on Sunday. Prudhoe Towm Women, meanwhile, make the trip to table topping Birtley St Josephs.
