By defeating third placed Wylam on the final day of the season, they claimed promotion to end the season with just two defeats to their name.
They edged out runners-up Newton whose maximum points haul away at Hexham Leazes II proved in vain.
Wark, who have a game still to play, finished the season down in fourth despite victory at Belsay, while Stocksfield III ended up in sixth with victory coming over Humshaugh II.
Newcomers Stocksfield IV were unable to end on a high as they were crushed ast home to Haltwhistle II.

The Miners' Hall at West Wylam was officially re-opened after undergoing extensive renovation.
Built as a cinema with a sloping floor 15 years previously, a ladies' cloakroom had been added and the floor levelled to turn it into a dance hall.
The work cost £500, half of which came from the Northumberland Miners' Association.
