Leaders Wylam could face drop

WYLAM'S trip to Stobswood Welfare has been rearranged for Sunday following last weekend's wash-out.

Unable to get their Northumberland FA Sunday Minor Cup quarter-final tie played, the Hexham and District Sunday League leaders will hope their visit to the Morpeth team will get the go-ahead at the second attempt.

Wylam could end the weekend down in third spot as the chasing pack are scheduled for league action.

Second placed Haltwhistle Conservatives make the trip to second bottom The Falcon Prudhoe, and third placed Stocksfield are at third bottom Hexham Phoenix. Elsewhere in the division, bottom club Rose and Crown Bellingham play host to Ryton and Crawcrook Albion.

Division Two champions Prudhoe Social Club will battle it out with Phoenix Chopwell for the chance to meet Haydon Bridge Anchor in the KO Cup semi-finals.

In the Mick Simmons Trophy, Division One rivals Barrasford and Prudhoe Town clash in B Division, while Division Two sides Hexham Hearts and Swinburne Arms Stamfordham clash.

In Division A, Division One's Allendale head to the lower ranked Warden Boatside, and Dr Syntax Prudhoe and Bardon Mill, both of Division Two, go head-to-head.
