AFTER a year at Hexham Leazes, the West Tyne Cricket League trophy returned to Haydon Bridge.
A final day victory over Humshaugh saw the team secure the title by a winning margin of six points.
Main rivals Haltwhistle had been in the hunt but, even if they had not suffered a shock defeat to Stamfordham, they were beaten to it by their neighbours.
South Northumberland III were sent packing to Division Two with a defeat, visiting Wylam cementing third spot with the victory.
Prudhoe were defeated by Benwell Hill III but picked up the required one point they needed to ensure Division One cricket for at least another year.
Hexham Leazes finished the season in fourth following their success at Stocksfield II, while Allendale were victors over Matfen Hall.
The final game in Division Two did not go ahead as Humshaugh II conceded when due to travel to Wark.

The Miners' Hall at West Wylam was officially re-opened after undergoing extensive renovation.
Built as a cinema with a sloping floor 15 years previously, a ladies' cloakroom had been added and the floor levelled to turn it into a dance hall.
The work cost £500, half of which came from the Northumberland Miners' Association.
