Buoyant Tynedale travel to Albanians

BUOYED by their derby victory over Blaydon, Tynedale travel down to Hertfordshire in good heart on Saturday.
They have a point to prove after going down to a 57-17 thrashing at the hands of Old Albanians in the final game of last season.
They are determined to improve their appalling record on the road, which has seen them lose 25 of their last 31 away games.
And they could not be going at a better time, as the St Albans outfit have lost both their opening matches albeit narrowly.
They went down 45-41 at home to Fylde and 26-19 at the vastly improved Loughborough Students on Saturday.
In the Fylde game they paid the penalty for converting only three of their seven tries.
They tend to play to their strengths with a very big and powerful pack adept at the driving maul.
However, if Tynedale win enough possession they should have far more pace when the ball is spread wide.

A workman was buried alive while digging a drain in the Prudhoe Urban Council's housing estate at Oaklands.
Workmates rushed to the aid of 50-year-old Richard Barclay, of Stocksfield, when the wall of the trench he was digging collapsed.
They managed to dig his head and shoulders free before finally pulling him from the earth. He was found to be suffering from shock and bruising.
