Barrasford shock unbeaten Stocksfield

CUP specialists Barrasford made it through to the next round of the Tommy Jackson President's Cup by inflicting a first defeat of the season on Stocksfield.
Bu they needed extra time to do so, pushing ahead in the added 30 minutes to finish as 6-3 victors after it was tied at 3-3 after 90 minutes.
Joining them in the next round are The Falcon Prudhoe following their 5-3 win at Wylam, with Haydon Bridge Anchor also through as one goal was enough to see them edge past Hexham Hearts.
In the John Pickworth League Cup, Dr Syntax Prudhoe scraped past Phoenix Chopwell 3-2 to make it through.
Haltwhistle Conservatives went level on points at the top of Division One with thanks to a 4-0 win over bottom club Rose and Crown Bellingham, while the only goal of the game secured three points for Allendale when they hosted Prudhoe Town.
The top two in Division Two helped themselves to three points too, Prudhoe Social Club defeating Warden Boatside 5-1 and Bardon Mill thumping Acomb Welfare 13-1.
Ryton and Crawcrook Albion breezed their way into the third preliminary round of the Durham FA Sunday Cup as they put 10 without reply past Bowburn.

THREE watercolour paintings donated by Queen Mary were auctioned off to raise money for a new Darby and Joan club in Hexham.
A site had already been bought, but a further £6,000 was needed to run the club for the elderly.
The auction, opened by Viscountess Allendale, saw the paintings raise over £8 for the fund.
