Carlisle child porn man ordered to see psychiatrist

A man who was beaten up by two vigilantes after child porn was discovered on his computer has been sent to be examined by a psychiatrist.
Matthew William Adams, 22, of Semple Road, Harraby, Carlisle, suffered back injuries in the attack in August.
Soon afterwards he was charged with 24 counts of possessing the pictures – ranging from level one, the least serious level of child porn, to level five, the most serious.
He was expected to be sentenced at the city’s crown court yesterday after pleading guilty to all 24 charges.
But the case was adjourned at the request of his barrister Keith Thomas so that he can be seen by a prison psychiatrist.
Adams was remanded in custody until November 6.
